Summerblues
Overview:
The brief for Summer Blues was combining the retro charm and handsome retro looks of the early Land Rovers with a modern twist. Evidently, cost was no object and the attention to detail is simply superb. Firstly, the bodywork was stripped to bare metal, every mm of the shell and body was painstakingly inspected and lovingly prepared before a flawless respray was undertaken in a stunning custom deep metallic blue. Series-style half doors were fitted with lift-off tops along with a painted cage and Puma bonnet. The body was then mounted to a brand-new Richards galvanised chassis. To complete the retro brief, brand new banded 9-inch wide satin black wolf steel wheels with BF Goodrich tyres were added alongside a Heritage-style grill. Further upgrades include body-coloured KBX grills, new colour-coded custom front bumper and sump guard, Nas step, LED lights all round and custom badges. Needless to say, the results are stunning. This car could be equally at home in the highlands, the King’s Road or the Cote D’Azur.

Interior
The interior is total retro perfection, practical as a Land Rover should be but lifted to another level. The whole interior is finished in the finest materials. The dash is painted body colour and houses an uprated audio system and modern dials. The front seats have been upgraded to Puma spec and have been fitted with superb Melvill and moon charcoal seat covers. In the rear twin benches have been added along with a stunning American hardwood floor. The hood is brand new and finished in matching Blue mohair. The switchgear and trim are all complete, free from damage and fully functional.
